Karen O'Neal

Karen O誰eal is a gifted trainer, rider and instructor in the equestrian discipline of Eventing.  Currently she is an FEI (International) Three Day Event Rider, US Eventing Association Instructor Certification Program Level 3 Instructor,  and Upper Level Dressage competitor.  Karen and her horses have become regulars on local, regional and national leaderboards in the sport of Eventing.  She is smart, honest, driven and competitive; a natural.

Born into a family with generations of equestrians, Karen O誰eal received her first pony as a toddler and finished her first horse show at 3 years of age.  Her teen years were spent as a catch rider on countless mounts in the Hunter, Jumper and Equitation rings as well as galloping around Events through the Intermediate Level.  At a mere 14 years old Karen demonstrated her uncanny ability to find and train horses, winning the Area X Preliminary Championship on a backyard horse she herself located.  This scenario has been repeated countless times with horses moving from unbroke through Advanced.   Karen痴 natural feel and ability to produce appreciable results from almost any horse have grown out of a solid foundation from her earliest years.

Karen O誰eal痴 goal is to support Eventing and to join the equestrian elite and represent the USA in the World Equestrian Games, Olympics and Pan American Games. With her background, her tall, athletic physique, and her competitive nature, she would be a strong competitor for her country.  Karen isn't alone in her goals.  Her husband Tim, and children Chance, Canyon, and Patience, as well as all her wonderful students and their families are cheering and supporting her in this pursuit.

In 2001 Karen and Tim O誰eal moved from Orange County, Ca to Sisters OR, where they are raising their 3 children and own and operate the quality 3-Day Event Barn O'Neal Farms, Inc.   Karen competes, trains and teaches on a full-time basis, while giving clinics throughout the West Coast.  Tim is a Professional Photographer through his own Action Taken Photography.  When not working the O誰eal family enjoys Volleyball , Basketball, Water Sports, Mountain Biking, and Snow Sports.
